Pastor Bruce is the senior pastor of Faith Community Church. He has been the Senior Pastor for over 18 years. When he is not studying or preaching, Bruce is an avid reader, who enjoys going to movies, golfing, and snow skiing when he is able. He and his wife Kathy were married in 1973 and have twin daughters.
Lamar Lovett was born in Atlanta, GA and grew up in Pasadena, CA. He was a scholarship athlete with the U of A football team and has a BA in Family Studies and an MA in counseling. He was saved by God’s grace at age 11 and has served the Lord since then. Lamar and his wife, Yvette, have three boys, and he became the associate pastor here at Faith Community in 2007. He preaches every Wednesday night and oversees the Young Adult ministry.
Delton Orr and his wife Jackie both grew up here in Tucson. They met in high school and have been married since 1987. Delton has worked with youth for over 15 years, from being a small group leader and having troubled youth live with them, to working in the prison system, to serving as Youth Pastor at Faith Community since 2004. He loves to tell people as it says in Proverbs 3, to trust in the Lord, acknowledge Him in all your ways, and sit back and enjoy the ride.
ELDERS
Vince Catalano is a native New Yorker who calls Tucson home. He is married to Donna and they have four children. He has been a member of Faith Community Church for about seventeen years. Vince is a registered architect and a traffic engineer. He has a Bachelor Degree in Theology and enjoys studying the Bible. Vince’s loves travel and anything to do with history.
“My goal is that the life I lead be a reflection of the God I serve.” James Estrada works as an operations manager for a distribution company. He and his wife, Linda, along with their three children, began attending Faith Community in 2004. He serves actively in the church as an Elder, musician, marriage ministry leader, and small group leader. When he is not traveling, he enjoys playing golf and other sports.
Gary came to Tucson in 1980 via Ames, IA., where he was born; Sioux Falls, SD., where he was educated and Mankato, MN., where he worked. He has been a council member and president, choir member, Stephen Minister and adult education teacher in past churches to which he has belonged. He is married to Janet. He has three adult daughters and one granddaughter, and Janet has two adult sons. Gary and Janet together have three dogs. Gary is an Account Executive with Lovitt & Touché, a local insurance broker, specializing in nonprofit human services clients. He enjoys teaching adult Christian education classes and the study in preparation for them.
BRYAN LOVITT
Bryan Lovitt was born in Ft. Belvior, Virginia and arrived in Tucson in 1983 by way of Memphis, Tennessee where he earned a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. He made a profession of faith for the Lord when he was 18. He served in the US Army from 1972-1975. Bryan and his wife, Dolores, have attended Faith Community Church since 2009. Bryan has worked with youth since 1993 and currently serves with the Youth Ministry as a group leader as well as with the video team. Bryan and Dolores celebrated their 40th anniversary in June 2012. They have three adult children in three states along with 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. Bryan enjoys reading and traveling.
TONY MOJICA
Meliton (Tony) Mojica was born in Panama City, Panama where he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 18. He has been happily serving the Lord for over 30 years. In 2008, Tony was ordained and has since traveled to Argentina and other areas to assist Faith Community Church in outreaches. Tony, and his wife, Margaret, have lived in Tucson for over 20 years and have three children. Tony enjoys scuba diving, fishing and playing the guitar.
Jeff Waterbury was born in Nashville, Tennessee. He was saved when he was nine-years-old. After attending college on a baseball scholarship, he joined the United States Air Force as a fighter pilot. He is now a member of the Arizona Air National Guard where he works as an F-16 instructor pilot. In 2010, Jeff and his wife, Debbie, will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, along with their two sons. Jeff is actively involved as the men’s minister here at Faith Community and serves in numerous capacities.
